This is a short tutorial for new users of Ubuntu (and other GNOME desktop environments) showing how to enable that amazing rotating cube for switching between desktops (workspaces).
I screen recorded this using gtk-recordMyDesktop and added music legally through YouTube's "Audio Swap" feature and added annotations to guide you through the steps as my webcam's built in mic does not work (or I can't figure out how to enable it) under Ubuntu 8.10.
I hope my annotations are clear and easy to understand.
If I am going to fast in the video just pause it and un-pause when you are read to continue the process as you can do it while watching the video. No nasty restarts required:)

i've rotated the monitor so it stands tall and long. the amazing thing is that it worked out of the box, i didn't need to hack anything or install any drivers, and this screen is brand spanking new. wicked awesome. *make sure you disabled/turn off compiz/emerald. it only works in metacity/gtk theme manager (aka the default setup)* |
