 I'm not sure how many people are having this issue, but strange things happen to me with launchpad in Lion. Icons get cloned, order becomes skewed and sometimes new apps don't even show up. Easy (although temporary) fix. Go to your "Go" drop down menu in Finder. Click "Go to Folder..." Type "/Users/yourhomefolder/Library/" without the quotes. Navigate to the Application Support folder. Navigate to the Dock folder within that. Rename any files named with numbers. Launch Terminal. Type "killall Dock" without the quotes. You should be all set!
