Part a: Text Positioning Step 1: Open iMovie if not already opened Step 2: Add text Step 3: Set preferred settings Part b: Step 1: Open iMovie if not already opened Step 2: Double click video footage/select video footage then click on inspector button Step 3: Convert clip if not already converted ********NOTE IF THE VIDEO FOOTAGE IS NOT IN A PROJECT IT CAN'T BE CONVERTED Step 4: Go to the middle of the inspector window and select preferred setting ********NOTE THAT IF YOU SET TOO MANY SPEED CHANGES THE SOUND MAY CANCEL OUT. IF IT DOES CANCEL OUT THEN WHEN YOU EXPORT IT, SHARE IT, OR UPLOAD IT, THE SOUND WILL NOT PLAY. Imovie Tutorial Part 1: Importing Media Involves importing videos, photos, and music Part 1: Importing videos Step 1: Open Imovie (unless opened already) Step 2: Go to file then down to import. Then select movies and find your movie. Step 3: Drag media into media area Part 2: Importing photos Step 1: Find preferred photo if the photo's from the web drag it to desktop if the photo's from a camera import the photo to iphoto Step 2: if your photo is from the web then drag it onto the media section if your photo's from a camera, after importing it to iphoto close Imovie YOU WON'T LOOSE ANYTHING Step 3: Reopen Imovie (only if you have to find photo from Iphoto) then find photo in photo media section which is a button that looks like a camera Part 3: Importing music Step 1: Make sure music is in itunes Step 2: Open Imovie (unless opened already) Step 3: find music in itunes in music media (music media button looks like a music note) Part 4: Importing music from garageband Step 1: Share music to itunes (I prefer to do share to itunes) or make sure song is saved in garageband folder (folder is not created by you but by the laptop) SAVE WITH AN ILIFEP PREVIEW VERY IMPORTANT Step 2: If Imovie is opened quit it YOU WON'T LOOSE ANYTHING Step 3: Reopen Imovie find song in itunes or look for it in garageband both are located in the music media section

Thank you for watching. ________________________________________________ WHAT IS iMOVIE11? All your video, all in one place. Chances are, you have a camcorder, a digital camera, or an iPhone — and maybe all three. That means one thing: You have a ton of great video. iMovie puts it all in one place and organizes it for you so your video is easy to browse and fun to watch. Just plug in your device, open iMovie, and start importing your video. It appears in your Event Library — the one place you'll find everything you've ever recorded. Just like photos in iPhoto, videos are organized by Events. And as your collection grows, you can rate clips as "favorite" or "rejected," tag them with preset or custom keywords, and filter them so you can find the best scenes (or hide the ones you're not thrilled with). Enjoy your feature presentation. Who says you have to edit? iMovie is a great place to just sit back and watch. View your video full screen without any desktop distractions. In full-screen view, flip through your entire video library using Cover Flow — the same way you flip through albums in iTunes. You can also toggle between Events and projects, skim quickly through clips, and watch individual scenes. Drag-and-drop moviemaking. If you know how to drag and drop, you can make a movie in iMovie.
